Why we built SeQR Contact
In today's digital age, it is more important than ever to protect your personal information. With just your phone number or email address, anyone can find your name, address, age, social profiles, or even your Social Security number. This information can be used for nefarious purposes, such as identity theft, stalking, spam, scams, and harassment.
However, as we keep our contact information as private as possible, we also put the things we care about at risk. Introducing SeQR Contact
We are excited to announce the launch of SeQR Contact, a new product that makes it easy to connect with people who can help you without sharing any personal information.
SeQR Contacts are QR codes that you can attach to any item. When someone scans the QR code, they will be able to exchange messages with you through SeQR Contact's secure messaging platform. Messaging on the SeQR platform does not require sharing of names, phone numbers, or email addresses, or any personal information with other users so everyone's personal information is protected.
Unlike your phone number and email address, you can easily have many SeQR contact codes. This means that you can have separate codes for your front door, your keys, or your child's favorite toy. If a SeQR contact code ever gets into the wrong hands, it is easy to deactivate and replace. This will not disrupt any of your other contact codes or existing conversations.
